The Actual Long Meeting (long post ahead)
ah-hah.. remember that super long meeting I foresaw? It happened today.
Ok, the meeting started of as per normal, with some of us waiting for the rest stuck in the SE Prudential talk.
Usual admin matters were in order, and for work stuff I've decided to leave out, cuz such dry stuff is Le Hia's forte in the minutes.. hahaha just kidding..
The Tang Yuans
Well, first up, we were treated to dry banana chips and peanut snacks from Minghui! who brought them back from M'sia. Then, Zaihao who forgot to make the tangyuans actually went back and disappeared for like 45mins to make us a pot of hot, steaming, delicious tangyuans.

The Name Card
heh honestly speaking the meeting was so long and I laughed so hard I can't remember everything that happened.. but then, we did settle on a name card design, after shix showed everyone the failure card with MY name on it.
Decided as a whole to go with a black card, which was more SWOC than a white card. Wondered why we took so long to end up with a black card heh.
Orientation Name Game
Hahahah... this had got to be the most hilarious segment of the night. We were supposed to throw in names for use in Orientation, and look at some of the top contenders.

ok it was cut straight away but i'm blogging so who cares lol. Let's explain. KRuSH can be seen as KR union with SH, where we can have that far fetched idea of having a combined orientation with KR. Or, it can be seen as Crush KR, but as Britney mentioned, we'll have to wait till after IHG to see if it stands. But objections were raised because KR is before SH, and SHuKR is just plain nonsense. So it was cut.

Initially everyone was pretty puzzled until Yb explained that his WiSH = "What Is Sheares Hall" and this idea was quite infallible until..... Le Hia mentioned: "What if Haojie asks the freshies if they enjoyed themselves and they replied with 'You wish!'?" And comments were made that Wish didn't make a big impact, so Yb decided to make it sound more forceful with adding a "S" in front, making it SwiSH.
The next sentence caused our boss to lie on the floor and gasp for air, hyperventilating, and almost going into a coma. As we were all anticipating a new word for "S", Yb simply remarked: "Swish stands for.. So What Is Sheares Hall?"
We died.

Since we were all in the mood of acronyms and all, we tried dissecting this yr SWOC's word, "Shiok". Which simply became: "Sheares Hall, I Ok." haha..

This was such a fluke. After a toilet break led by me, Yb tried sitting like L for inspiration. And we started digressing onto Death Note.. followed by the topic of whether the guy characters were SHUAI. Karen then mentioned that SHUAI is a SH word. Immediately, CK, Haojie and I went: "Sheares Hall U and I!" ok. so it was set. catchy, simple, and warm and friendly. woohoot.
Present Exchange
I may have left out more hilarious stuff, but yep, we move onto the GIFT EXCHANGE.
First thing that happened was that I confessed I didn't have a present OR sock, and Haojie went immediately that he'd flush the guy/girl's head under the sink if he didn't get his present. When I revealed that I was his guy, he almost died, where everyone else laughed till they dropped.
And, of all the bad karma in the world. I had no present to give to Haojie, and Haojie had no Kim Seng to give the present to. And I got a nice cup from Zaihao. Oh man.. sorry boss =) that you effectively had no participation in this exchange. No worries.. yours will be the nicest of them all. All good things are worth waiting for.. LOL.. but really I think you'd kill me again on the 27th when I give u your present. I believe its really bad karma.

The Cupcakes and Shix/Yb Present
The Boss wrote us all a card and bought us each a pretty and expensive cupcake. Shix and Yb gave out little present of chocolates too, and everyone left happy! =) hehe check out the cupcakes!
