1st Full Comm Meeting
1st Full Comm Meeting success!
Initial Prep
Met up at lobby, before moving on to MPSH to move the chairs for video viewing. Then I got condemned for bringing in Macs breakfast, and not sharing. Wahaha. Then Weising and I garnered a rare 10pts from Shix and others, for our Siamese Twins couple cheers.
Soon, the people started streaming in.
The Video and Haojie speech
Short introduction speech by Haojie, and a full comm intro. Sadly, Shix and I were left out just because we didn't have a sub comm and weren't in EXCO.. *sad*
A short video followed, of SWOC 04/05, to show the subcommers what to expect from SWOC. Fortunately, the attendance was pretty good, with bout 20-30 people turning up.
After the video the group was split up into their subcomms to meet their ic/s.
Subcomm Talks
As one of the Pub subcomm's member were still sleeping, we decided to be sweet people and bring the meeting to his doorstep instead. So, we stormed into the room of a startled guy, plonked ourselves down, and held the meeting there and then.
After a short and quick discussion, we went back to the hall.
Cheers + Anthem
Then came the cheers... think our leader CK was too nervous just now.. had a few kinks in the cheering, but overall it still went smoothly. The basic procedure for teaching the cheers:
1. Demo by SWOCs
2. Splitting into subcomms to teach
3. Subcomms combine to do together
And damn, I earned myself 4 PPs(ponding points) by doing ridiculous mistakes while teaching. But was quite glad the crowd was pretty responsive and cooperative and picked up the cheers fast. So things went smoothly.
Then came the anthem, where we taught the basic moves, the part with "at the fore..", and the ending to the subcommers. After a few more full run throughs of the anthem then we were done =)
So now, as I wait patiently for 1:30pm for a SHIT meeting with my SHIT head and Vice-SHIT head, some of the SWOCs are out having lunch. And there's still SP till 10pm straight after.
Oh pls don't fall asleep. *yawn*
